Jacob Benjamin Maynard, Sr., 29, died in an illfated accident in the early morning hours of February 15, 2014.He was born May 21, 1984 at Seton Medical Center. Although he moved around as a child, he spent the majority of his life in Elgin, Texas. He graduated from Elgin High School in 2002 and continued his selftaught education in the Automotive Industry. He achieved multiple ACE Certifications while working in Elgin as the Service Writer at Jays Tire and Automotive.On April 17, 2009, he was handed his heart, Jacob Benjamin Maynard, Jr. That was the scariest day of his life. He and Brittany Amthor brought their families together when they were united in marriage later that year.Jacob was a passionate man with a love of hot sauce, music of all varieties, Matts Famous El Rancho and above all else, The Texas Longhorns. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room and bring a smile to every face. His personality knew no bounds.He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Maynard, Grandpa Bill Maynard and his grandparents, Gordon and Glenda Swenson, all of Elgin.He is survived by his son, fouryearold, Jacob Benjamin Maynard, Jr., and his sons mom, Brittany Amthor his mother, Charlotte Swenson grandmother Viola Maynard, his stepdad Tim Fender, stepsister Dawndee Fender, his Aunt Jan Swenson and Uncle Billy Maynard, all of Elgin. He is also survived by his aunts, Brenda Rood of wood, Texas and Cynthia Maynard of Austin.In lieu of flowers, an account has been created for his son, Jacob Benjamin Maynard, Jr., at Frontier Bank of Texas.
