Isidro Flores

Isidro Sid Rangel Flores, 67, barber of Elgin, Texas passed away peacefully late Tuesday night, January 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Sid was born the second to youngest of seven children to Sebero Flores and Louisa Rangel Flores in Elgin, Texas on May 16, 1945. On May 24, 1964, he married the love of his life, Arlene Dominguez. Together they raised two daughters and one son. Sid owned and operated The Styling Shop in Elgin for over 35 years and was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin, where he served his church with the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by both his parents and one grandson, James Dylan Flores.He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Arlene Flores two daughters, Joanne and husband Elizies Williams, Theresa and husband Kenneth Simmons one son, James Flores six grandchildren, Jonathan Beltran, Jeremy Williams, Adrian Williams, Matthew Beltran, Brandon Flores, and Isaiah Simmons three greatgrandchildren, Briana Beltran, Serenity Beltran, and Addison Beltran one brother, Raymond Flores five sisters, Juana Espinoza, LaLa Samarripa, Lupe Lopez, Estella Botello, and Louisa Torres and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Sid will forever be remembered for his generosity, love for his family, community, and church. The family will receive guests at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, January 18th and will pray the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 19th with Father George officiating. Interment will follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
