Hazel Kastner-Crawford

Hazel Carlson KastnerCrawford, 92, homemaker of Smithville, formerly of McDade, passed away early Sunday morning, June 24, 2012. She was born the youngest of ten children to Swedish immigrants, Alfred Gustaf Carlson and Ellen Emelia Lindblom Carlson in the Kimbro Community of Travis County, Texas on July 26, 1919. Two years after graduating from Elgin High School in 1937, she married Kelly Kastner together they raised their two children in McDade, Texas. In 1977, she married Albert Crawford, where they resided in Smithville, Texas. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and substitute teaching at the McDade and Smithville Independent School Districts.
