Guadalupe quotJoequot Vasquez, Jr. passed away peacefully, after a long and hard battle with pulmonary fibrosis, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday morning, July 20, 2011 at the age of 56. Joe was born the second of three sons to Guadalupe and Celia Vasquez in Raton, Texas on December 1, 1954. He grew up in Rio Hondo, Texas where he attended and high school. In 1974, he moved to Austin with his parents and two brothers. Joe worked hard his entire life working for A.M.D., Airborne Express, Bastrop I.S.D., Breckenridge and Dell Children39s Hospitals. In 1997, Joe met the love of his life, Velia Leal.
