Guadalupe Gustavo Molina, Jr., of Edinburg, Texas, passed away Sunday night, December 21, 2014. He was born Saturday, November 7, 1936 in Edinburg, Texas to Manuela Cavazos Molina and Guadalupe Gustavo Molina. Guadalupe was a descendant of Jose Narciso Cavazos who was owed one of the largest land grants in South Texas by the King of Spain. He was a linebacker for the Bobcats of Edinburg High. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and honorably served 24 years. He retired from the IRS as a Captain of security division. He was a strong and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and brother. He was greatly respected within his community and brought a smile to whoever he encountered. His light will continue to shine from above. He will be dearly missed by his family, relatives and many friends.He is preceded in death by parents, Manuela and Guadalupe Molina wife, Audrey Molina brother, Edvardo Molina.Guadalupe is survived by four daughters, Sharon Ruth Webb Joey Webb, Antonietta Ramona Medina Roger Medina, Jennifer Nicole Molina, who followed him to heaven 20 minutes after he passed, and Sandra Lee Carter Robbie one son, Guadalupe Gustavo Molina III 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, December 28th and will pray the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Monday, December 29th with Father Bob Kincl officiating. Interment will follow at McDade Cemetery.
