Gloria Yvonne Jamess sun set in life on January 4, 2015 with her family at her bedside in the Christopher House in Austin, Texas.Gloria Yvonne James was the third child born to Johnnie Edgar James and Georgia Lee Ball James, on March 18, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas. Growing up with a strong Christian foundation and Godly parents, Gloria accepted Christ at an early age at the Starlight Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas under the leadership of the late Reverend J. E. James, her father.Gloria attended school in the Elgin Independence School District, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, followed by Temple Junior College in Temple, Texas. On August 7, 1971, Gloria was joined in Holy Matrimony to R. L. Milligan and this union was blessed with seven children.In 2008, her membership was placed at Mount Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend L. R. White. Gloria song in the choir and supported the church, in and out of season until her death.Gloria enjoyed singing with her sisters and they were known as The James Sisters. They song at many musical and musical benefits, performing at Juneteenth Celebrations and GalasHer hobbies were crocheting, sewing, bingo, cooking and being an all around Grandmother.Gloria is preceded in death by two children: Vidal Milligan and Michelle Milligan, her parents and a special friend, Jim Brandyburg.Gloria leaves in Gods hands to cherish her memories children Fentress Milligan and his wife Lori R. L. Milligan, Jr., Meoshe Milligan, Kohesha Milligan, and Monique Milligan siblings are Sandra Cathey, Phyllis Lewis, Marcus James and wife, Shirley, Vanessa James, and Portia and John Vincent five extended children includes Lamesa Milligan, Constance Milligan, Rodney Milligan, Brian Milligan, and Shontrell Milligan twentysix grandchildren, one great grandchild with one more on the way, four Aunts and one Uncles as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Gloria has taken with her all the memories and love of those she touched. She is at peace
