Mr. Glenn George Alexander, II, 24, went to spend his eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ on Friday afternoon, January 18, 2013. Glenn was born to Glenn Alexander, Sr. and Gloria Joiner in Austin, Texas on February 2, 1988. He grew up in Bastrop, Texas and attended the local schools. He enjoyed playing basketball and doing a little wrestling and boxing. His usual job was doing so type of construction favoring to holding the flag for the traffic.Glenn, knew God and feared Him, he was preceded in death his maternal grandparents, Earl Joiner, Sr. and Jim Ella Goodman Joiner his fraternal grandfathers, George Alexander and Jesse McFarlin one brother, Alex Glen Hudson and one niece, infant Shania Williams.Glenn leaves in Gods hands to cherish his memories his three children, Shyanna LaShay, Malachi Zech and Quavayon Jimel Alexander a devoted mother, Gloria Joiner Kanada a stepfather, Marvin Kanada and his biological father, Glenn Alexander, Sr. four brothers, Paul Williams, Marvin Kanada, Jr., Chris Kanada all of Bastrop, and Glenn Alexander, Jr. of Dallas six sisters, Rachel Williams, Shirlene Joiner, and Danilla Kanada all of Elgin, Tina Kanada of Lampasas, LaShay Alexander of Dallas, and Shauna Alexander of California his grandmother, Bessie McFarlin grandparents, Marjorie and James Canada he also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, nieces,nephews, and multitude of cousins and dear friends.I tried to live in this old world and I did the I could. Please do not put a question mark where God has put a period. The Angels of Death have come to guide me and I know God will open wide your understanding as to why these things must be. Dying is only a part of living, so please do not mourn for me.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, January 25th. A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at Winns Memorial Baptist Church under the auspices of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26th with the Reverend, R.W. Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Magdalene Cemetery, Sayers, TX.
