Gilbert Ginsel

Gilbert Ginsel, born August 9, 1924 passed away Friday October 10, 2014 age 90. He was born and raised in Elgin, Texas.He was preceded in death by parents Elizabeth and Henry two brothers, Roland, Monroe, Barney and sister, Clara. He is survived by wife Dorothy sister, Ruth Ray children Gilda, Stanley and Mark as well as numerous nieces and nephews.He served with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. After the war he married and settled in Manor, Texas becoming a successful farmer and along with partner, Harry Taylor started two grain warehouse elevators serving many local farmers. Gilbert was a tireless worker, honest and well respected member of the community. Family and friends were the cornerstone of his life, and he was appreciated by many, both young and old.Per his request there will be no service but a celebration of his life will be conducted in the coming months.
