Fred Resendez, Jr.

Our beloved Fred Cantu Resendez, age 64, of Elgin Texas went to meet our Heavenly Father, September 10, 2021. Fred Resendez was born In Mathis, Texas to Fred G. Resendez and Marta Cantu. Fred enjoyed working as a skilled handyman and mowing yards.  But his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Jazlynn.  He was always happy and a fully of joy.  His love for his family and friends will live on in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred G Resendez and his bother, Jesse Resendez.

Fred survived by his daughters, Teresa Alba, Carmen Resendez her husband Jose Garcia, Joanna Resendez and husband Ricardo Hernandez, Vivian Resendez; his son, Steven Resendez; his brothers and sisters, Delia Resendez, Norma Resendez, Robert Resendez, Joe Resendez, Mary Lue Guerrero; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Fred was loved by so many, especially in his community where he lived and will be greatly missed!

Serving with grace and honor as Pallbearers are Carlos Carrillo, Anthony Alba, Michael Zapata, Jose Rico; Honorary Pallbearers are Jose Garcia and Ricardo Hernandez.

Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Monday, September 20th from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life conducted at 6:00 PM with the Reverends Tony Munoz and Joquin Damas presiding.  Interment will be at Elgin Latin Cemetery, Tuesday, September 21st at 11:00 AM.
