Frankie Lynn Gibson, 63, passed away at Seton Medical Center on Dec 30, 2016. Frankie was born in Fayette County, Alabama on November 3, 1953, to Frank and Blonnie Gibson. He grew up and attended school in Berry, Alabama with his older sister, Barbara. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was an avid Bama fan - Roll Tide!
While living in Louisiana, Frankie and Beverly Gibson gave birth to their son, Charlie Gibson, on March 7, 1983. Frankie was a roughneck on the oil rigs in the Gulf. He later moved to Texas and divorced Beverly.
Frankie lived in Bastrop Texas and married Malinda Ruth Gibson. He worked as a surveyor for Cash Construction. He later worked for DNT Construction. Frankie and Malinda moved into their log house in Blue, Texas. Frankie loved living in the country where he could have his chickens and garden. He will be missed by his many friends and neighbors in Blue. He lost Malinda on April 29, 2013.
In March 2015, Frankie had heart bypass surgery which lead to complications. He lost kidney function and became a dialysis patient. Frankie never fully recovered from the complications and passed away from complications from COPD.
Frankie is preceded in death by his Father, Frank Gibson, and his Wife, Malinda Gibson. He is survived by his Mother, Blonnie Gibson of Berry,Alabama; Sister Barbara Coco, of Athens, Georgia; son, Charlie Gibson, of Durango, Colorado; and Fiancee, Glenda Werth
Frankie is being cremated and no services are planned at this time.
