Floyd Hodges, Jr.

Floyd Edward Hodges, Jr. “Ed,” 57, passed away on Thursday morning, October 20, 2016. Ed was born in Tyler, Texas on August 15, 1957 to Floyd Edward Hodges, Sr. and Billie Jean Perigo Hodges. When Ed was a young boy, the family moved to Victoria, Texas where he attended schools and graduated high school in 1977. After graduation, he attended the University of Texas in Austin and was a true Longhorn from then on.

Ed loved sports and politics. He was an announcer for several of the ball games while in school. Ed worked for 9 ½ years as a Director of the Senator Phil Gram. Several years ago, he began a new venture he loved, selling and delivering moving boxes.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and his cousin, Margaret Lou Moore.

Ed is survived by his mother, Billie Jean Hodges; his three brothers, Byron Kelvin Hodges of Cedar Creek, Lawrence Mark Purdom of Belize, and Roger Layne Purdom of Wenatchee, Washington; several cousins, nephews and nieces, including Kayla Jean Hodges whom he adored. Everyone loved Ed and he will be dearly missed.
