Etta Lee Crawford, a lifetime resident of Travis and Bastrop Counties, was born to Horace Bradshaw and Rosie Lee Green on December 31, 1947, in Manor, Texas. Etta Lee grew up in Travis County where she attended the public schools in Manor ISD. Etta Lee was raised up in a strong Christian foundation and entered a religious covenant with God at an early age.
Etta Lee was united in Holy matrimony to Ronald Crawford.
Etta Lee worked as a housekeeper for many years. She stepped out on faith and started her own business recruiting young people who was willing to work and did a good job. She soon became self employed and maintained a maid service.
Etta Lee touched many lives with her generosity and compassion for others and her caring spirit will be remembered long after her passing. It brought her great joy when she would cook great meals and enjoy quality time with her family especially during the holidays. She enjoyed fishing with her family and getting up on Saturday mornings with her grandchildren in search of a yard sales.
This little God-fearing woman loved her family, enjoyed her friends, and supported her community.
E L as called by her grandchildren, was called from labor to reward on November 2, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Eugene Bradshaw, Horace Bradshaw, William Baker Brady, and Ada Marie Baker-Bradshaw.
Etta Lee leaves a priceless legacy to be cherished by her husband, Ronnie Crawford, her sons, Ivor Dean Easley and his wife, Georgia, and James Easley and his wife, Kanisha Coruthers, her grandchildren- Regina Easley, Natasha Easley, Crystal Hutchinson, James Easley, Jr., Jamie Easley, and Summer Easley; six great grandchildren; and her foster children, Adrian Swain, Terrance Lewis, and Bryson Lewis; her siblings- George Bradshaw, Mary Roberts Bradshaw, Leeora Bradshaw, Peggy Bradshaw, Kay Bradshaw, and James Baker Bradshaw; Uncles and Aunts and nieces and nephews spanning to four generations, and a host of other relatives and numerous friends, including the congregation at the Independence Church of Salvation.
Etta Lee will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, November 12th from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday, November 13th at 11:00 AM with Reverend Anthony Bradshaw presiding. Interment will follow at Manor Hill Cemetery.
