Elvira Flores

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Elvira Jimenez Flores was called to Heaven Sunday morning, May 8, 2022 at the age of 87, in Manor, Texas.

She was born in Ben Bolt, Texas, August 29, 1934. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, seamstress, baker, member of the Helping Hands, a substitute teacher and cafeteria employee for Manor ISD. She was a diehard Manor Mustang Fan and Loved to watch the Texas Longhorns play football.  She loved all her grandchildren dearly and loved to bake with them her famous pan de polvo, pumpkin bread and brown sugar rounds. She never failed to call family and friends on their birthdays and she never left anyone out or anyone behind. She also adored all her numerous nieces and nephews like her very own.

Elvira was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Flores Jr., her son Pedro Flores III, Parents Pedro Jimenez & Concepcion Jimenez, Nicolas & Olivia Jimenez, Elias & Frances Jimenez, Chrispin Jimenez (Elma), Luisa Molina, Justo & Estolia Jimenez, Marcelino & Maria Jimenez, Jose Jimenez (Delmira).

She was Survived in life and will be dearly missed by her Sister Lucy Gonzalez (Hernaldo), brother Pedro Jimenez Jr.(Yolanda), Daughter Lucy Belen Flores, Grandsons: Kristopher Flores (Lily) , Justin Flores, Diego Flores, Great Grandchildren: Ian Flores, Emma Flores, Sanjai Flores, Amir Hernandez, Rajaa Flores and Kahli Flores.

Friends and Family will gather at Elgin Funeral Home for visitation, Thursday, May 12th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Manor, Friday, May 13th at 10:00 AM with Father Henry Officiating. Interment will follow at Manor Cemetery.
