Edna Hillman

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Edna May Hillman, age 91, of Paige, Texas, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Edna was born Edna May Goerner on March 29, 1924, in Paige, Texas to Ottillie Edna Hempel Goerner and Paul Richard Goerner. She was an only child. Later she married Terrell and moved to Austin, Texas where she raised 2 boys and made her home for more than 50 years.Edna was a graduate of Elgin High School, Breckenridge school of Nursing and worked as an LVN and later a RN on the cardiac floor of St David"s Hospital. She was a faithful member at Trinity Baptist Church for over 50 years.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Terrell Hillman and her parents Paul and Ottillie Goerner. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Hillman and wife Mickie of Georgetown, Texas and Wayne Hillman of Austin, Texas; her two grandchildren, Jim Hillman and wife Michelle and Kim and husband Beau Embree; and her six great-grandchildren, Sabrina Balderas, Tess Balderas, Jason Balderas, Madison Schuler, Harrison Schuler, and Daryn Embree.Pecuniary Memorials may be made in Edna"s memory to the Altus Foundation, 100 College St, Round Rock, Texas 78664. The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, November 9th. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Monday, November 9th at 11:00 AM with Reverend David Burkholder officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the McDade Cemetery.
