Earl Ervin

Earl Howard Ervin , 62, of Elgin, Texas, died at home after a lengthy illness and was surrounded by his children and family members on Sunday, July 30, 2017. He was born to Edward Hardin Ervin and Louise Newmann Ervin in Mercedes, Texas on Wednesday, May 26, 1955. After earning his GED, Earl continued his education in Trade School where he achieved a certificate in plumbing and his first job with his uncle, Herman Newmann. Earl worked very hard and learned very quickly achieving the title Responsible Master Plumber and Consultant. He worked at Biggs and Joe Clark before his health began to fail. Earl was a gentle man who loved his departed wife, Beverly until her death in 2014. They were affectionately known as the “Firecracker Couple” since they were married on the Fourth of July. Earl and Beverly shared a love for travelling and entertaining family and friends. He loved his children and always took the time to ensure they shared in family vacations. Earl will be missed by his family and those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful wife, Beverly Ann Marcrum Ervin, brother, Eddie Hardin Ervin, and a sister, Marcella Ervin Johnson. Earl leaves to cherish his legacy his children, Jennifer and husband Israel Callazo of Austin, Gaston Ervin and wife, Sabrina, Eric Ervin, and James Ervin and wife, Mandye of Elgin; a sister, Peggy and husband, Richard West of Trinidad, Texas, and four grandchildren, Madyson Maye, Samuel, Jesse James and Abagail; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
