Douglas Ray Duett, 84, of Manor, Texas passed away at his home Sunday evening, August 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Judy Duett; six children, Billy Duett and wife Peggy, Rhetha Cox, Ashley Duett and wife Valerie, Joy Shockey, Trina and husband Lloyd Meredith, and Della and husband Dale Rothelmel; 10 grandchildren, Clifton Duett and wife Linsey, Rachel Shockey, Jeffrey Cox, Deidra Shockey, Kayla Meredith, Glenn Strube and wife Kaci, Taylor Duett, Kevin Meredith, Brandon Duett, and James Sawvel; 8 great-grandchildren, Kylie Duett, Trevor Summers, Lance Duett, Kasen Ross, Jayden Meredith, James Sandlin, and Joshua Sandlin and Demaris Duett.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 5th. A funeral service will be held at Williams Memorial Chapel, Elgin Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6th at 11:00 AM with Allen Caffey officiating. Interment will follow at Salty Cemetery.
