Dorothy Lois Fisher, 84 died November 26, 2013 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.She was born to the late Charlie Clarence and Lena Oree Phillips Hinkle June 3, 1929, in Crowell, Texas, the oldest of six children. Lois moved to San Antonio, Texas after graduation where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Edward Fisher. Upon Bobs retirement from the Air Force, they moved to Austin in the 70s and then to Elgin in the 80s. Together they owned and operated the Holiday Grocery, Laundromat and Cafe until they retired. Charles and Rachel Fisher, along with their children, Arisa and Anthony, were her constant companions and caregivers over the last 7 years. The family will be forever indebted for their loving care.Dad always said Mom loved books, bowling, bingo and Bob......in that order. In between these favorites, she liked spending weekends and holidays with family, being with friends, planting flowers and watching the birds at her many feeders. She always loved fashion, shoes, red fingernail polish and red lipstick not to forget her red front door. With her dark hair and striking hazel eyes, she was a beauty. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband, Robert Fisher and her son Thomas and sister Joyce Gill. She is survived by her children, three sons, Bobby Fisher and his sweetheart Lori Davis, David Fisher, Mark Tammy Fisher three daughters, Ann Gene Franz, Barbara Mike Preece, and Patricia Allen Hatcher grandchildren, Brandon Fisher, Tammy Franz, Wendy Ethan Argenbright, Eddie Teresa Franz, Kelly Brandon Belz, Michael Jordan Preece, Shawn Heather Preece, Crystal Preece, Joey Preece Charles Rachel Fisher, Daniele Fisher, Mathew Chyna Fisher, Kaylee Fisher great grandchildren, Cody Franz, Melinda Franz, Emily Argenbright, Mike Argenbright, Peter Argenbright , Wally Argenbright, Ethan KnoppTrollier, Kera KnoppTrollier, Colton Preece, Haven Preece, Arisa Fisher, Anthony Fisher three brothers, Bud, Rudy and Donald Hinkle one sister Ruth Daniel, and numerous nieces and nephews.We will miss her terribly and yet rejoice in her reunion with parents, husband and son. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Elgin Public Library or the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department.The family will receive guests at Elgin Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 1, 2013. A Funeral Service will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin at 10:00 AM Monday, December 2nd with Father George officiating. Interment will be at Elgin Cemetery with Charles Fisher, Anthony Fisher, Mathew Fisher, Eddie Franz, Shawn Preece and Joey Preece acting as pallbearers and Brandon Fisher and Michael Preece as Honorary pallbearers.
