Donald Sprouse Sr

Donald Ray Sprouse, Sr., 73, school bus mechanic of Drippings Springs, passed away Saturday evening, March 30, 2013. Donald was born to Dellman Monroe Sprouse and Minnie Bell Barta Sprouse in Austin, Texas on May 26, 1939. On September 2, 1961, Donald married the love of his live, Margaret Rose Muerer.Donald is preceded in death by both his parents, infant brother, Baby James brother, John Lee Sprouse and sister, Ola Bell Sprouse.He leaves to cherish is memory his loving wife of almost 52 years, Margaret Rose Sprouse two daughters, Laura and husband Guy Moffett, Jr. of Elgin and Donna Faye Roberts of Schulenburg only son, Donald Sprouse, Jr. and fianc Kayci Lindig of Johnson City seven grandchildren, Holly, Kevin, Tiffany, Curtis, Cody, Rachel, and Bradley six greatgrandchildren, Jayden, Mya, Miley, Eddie, Johnathan, and Christopher one sister, Patricia Sprouse one brother, Delton Sprouse and wife Frances and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 2nd. A funeral service will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 3rd with Pastor Cody Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Bunton Cemetery in Dale, Texas with Kevin Moffett, Jack Leach, James Philippus, Cody Reeves, Clyde Haywood, and Paul Madar serving as Pall Bearers as well as Delvin Sprouse and James Jimbo Sprouse serving as Honorary Pall Bearers.
