Reflection of Life

Donald Hubert Nolan, a long life time resident of Elgin, Texas, was born the second child to Leroy Nolan, Sr. and Emma Young Nolan on January 17, 1950. He attended the public schools of Bastrop County, naming Booker T Washington, where he was a good athlete, challenging football as his favorite. Donald accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was united with Winn’s Memorial Baptist Church. After earning his GED, Donald joined the United States Marine Corp in 1970.

Donald was employed by Oden Trucking Company, driving from coast to coast, over an unknown number of years. He enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and watching THE Football game – Dallas Cowboys .

Donald was called home at the age of 67, on Thursday, September 22, 2017 at 11:30 p.m.; waiting in heaven, Donald will join his parents, and two brothers, Leroy Nolan, Jr. and Charles Nolan.

Donald leaves in God’s hands to cherish his memories: two beautiful daughters, Anita Renae Morgan of Pflugerville and Clara Marie and her husband, Frank Joubert; three sisters, Ruby Lowe of Austin, Debra and her husband, Randy Mays., and Shelia Nolan all of Elgin; one brother, Ricky Nolan and his wife, Andria; three grandchildren: Kishara, Quinton, and Kayla Morgan; one uncle, Willie Nolan and his wife, Rosie, and one Aunt, Queen Kerr, and three generations of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Matthews 5:4

Know that God never makes a mistake and He sees your pain.
Be assured that He never breaks a promise and
if you just trust Him and lean not to your own understanding,
He will comfort you.
