Donald Dickinson

Donald Dickinson, 88, of Austin, Texas passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. 

He was married to Glenda Dickinson for 57 years and they were blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren. 

Upon completion of high school at Bryan Military Academy in Bryan, Texas, he worked for a short time in the oil fields of Midland, Texas before joining the United States Marine Corps.

While in the Marine Corps, Don served as a personnel specialist for a New Orleans Reserve HQ and an Air Wing at Cherry Point, North Carolina. During his service at the Air Wing, he completed flight training and received his small engine pilot’s license.

After military service, Don and Glenda moved to Austin, Texas where he worked in the accounting department for the Texas Commission for the Blind followed by a 28-year career with IBM in the Human Resources and Accounting Department.

In retirement, Don enjoyed time with grandchildren and maintaining his home and lawn.

Family and Friends will gather at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery for Visitation, Saturday, November 2nd from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by Graveside Services at 11:00 AM.
