David Alan Fisher, 66, of Elgin, lost a hard-fought battle with cancer on Friday evening, December 29, 2017. He died at home with his loving wife and caregiver, Diane Hayes Fisher by his side. He was born to Troy and Billie Fisher on August 17, 1951 in Hanford, California. He was raised in Devine, Texas, where he met his first wife, Geneva Caraway. Together they had two children, Troy Fisher and Teresa Woodall.
David was a truck driver for over thirty years and was quite the ladies man while on the road. In fact, his CB handle was Blue Eyes. He loved playing the guitar and caring for his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Billie; his brother, Mike Fisher; his sister, Susie Jennings; and step-son, Robbie Presley.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; his brother, Gerald Fisher; his three sisters, Debbie Richart, LuAnn Wilson, and Chris Severson; his two children Troy and Teresa; his four step-children Annette Presley, Willie Presley, Sonny P, Ray Presley; 25 grandchildren; and his beloved dogs Tyson, Bella, Jackson, and Mama.
A Memorial Service, celebrating David’s life, will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6th at 2:00 PM.
