Dale Allen Ford, Sr. was born on August 28, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to John L. Ford and Delores Ann Sanders. Dale attended Trinity High School, then obtained his GED from University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

Dale was united in Holy Matrimony to Jamie D on April 2, 1988, and were blessed three children, Deeanna, James – Troy, and Dale II.

Dale was a man of good character, often stating it took him fifteen years to be a real resident of Elgin, Texas. He loved his wife, his kids and life in general. He was a football fanatic; being a big fan of the Elgin Wildcats. Dale also loved the University of Texas Longhorns and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, proving his true Texas citizenship through faithful allegiance. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved telling his stories and never met a stranger. Dale enjoyed music of all type, sight-seeing, the beach, and flea market. His hobbies included a hot wheel collection, sports memorabilia, and cassette tapes. He had a green thumb with a soft heart.

Dale leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 30 years, Jamie, his children, Deeanna, Jaybird, and little Dale; his mother, Delores Gray; his in-laws, Mark and Jane Stanfield; his siblings, Teresa Ford, Joey Gray, Dana Brown, Kathy Hopper, Sandy Mapps, John L. Ford, Jr, Susan Stringer, James Ford, Amy Ford, Matthew Ford, and Cameron Warren, and a large number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.

Dale Allen Ford, Sr., 50, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12th at 10:00 AM. Interment is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Gholson Cemetery, Gholson, Texas.

*The family requests that everyone attending the funeral please wear casual clothes, wearing his favorite colors, Longhorn Orange, Ford Blue, or Wildcat Purple. Please no suits.
