Cynthia Shoemake

Cynthia Cindy Lou Shoemake, 57, of Elgin, Texas passed from this life early Friday morning, May 3rd 2013, surrounded by family and friends. Cindy was to Charles Wilson and Mary Lou Thompson in Beaumont, Texas on August 21, 1955.Cindy enjoyed life with family and friends. She enjoyed the fish pond she dug by hand and filled with Koi. She also loved gardening both flowers and vegetables. She was always dedicated to helping others thru various programs. Even in the most difficult time of her life, she always tried to help others, whether by the truth or a comforting word.Cindy is preceded in death by both her parents two brothers, Herbert and Tony Roberts and two sisters, Sara Jamerson and Sue Massey. Cindy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Larry three daughters, Dallas Rose, Mandy and husband Tony Miller, and Amanda Shoemake three sons, Noah, David, and Jamie Shoemake and wife Brenda two sisters, Charldene Roundtree of Silsbee, Texas and Lucille Cooper of Roatan Island, Honduras three brothers, Charles Thompson and wife Suzy of Houston, Hubert and Darrell Roberts of Mississippi seven grandchildren, Damien, Anthony, Austin, Thomas, Samara, Aiden, and Brianna and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of very close dear friends. Cindy will be truly and lovingly missed by all who knew her.Family requests that donations be made to Austin Hospices Christopher House, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78759.The family will receive friends at the Elgin Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, May 5th. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
