Cleo Page White was born on December 23, 1941, to James Alfred and Ruby Lee Page, in Tishomingo Mississippi. Cleo went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2018.
Cleo spent her entire adult life in Austin. She was an owner and operator of Group Homes for the MHMR Community. She loved each and every individual, who stayed, in a unique and special way.
Cleo spent a life-time helping others that were down on their luck. She would have given the shirt off her back for anyone in need and often did.
Cleo loved playing cards with her grandchildren, playing Bingo, she also enjoyed Fishing. She loved to shop and often referred to it as her therapy.
She is proceeded in death by both her parents; 11 siblings, Louise, Buck, Red, May, Fay, Johnny, Loraine, Bessie, David, Alton, and Caroline.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 28 years Leonard C. White; her four children, Scott Grooms and wife Cindy, Mark Grooms and wife Tina, Terry Carpenter and husband Timothy, Kimberly and husband Keith Hampton; 12 grandchildren, Cassie, Chance, Stephen, Jordan, Brooke, Keifer, Jade, Benji, Sarah, Ashley, Rebekah and Marshall; nine great-grandchildren Carmen, Cayli, Caden, Chloe, Cambree Skye, Charlotte, Brendan and Tristyn; her two sisters, Shirley Page and Betty Hermore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cleo was an Amazing Women who touched so many lives. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 1st from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Cleo’s Life will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the McDade Cemetery.
