Christopher Ray Varble

Christopher Ray Varble, sweetly known as ‘Chris’, a young man, a loving son, to his Mother, Anita Varble, a good and over protective big brother, to his sister, Kayla Varble, and a great Father to his only daughter, Dellajade Swanson. 

Chris was born on July 7, 1986, to Anita Louise Varble and Lonnie Butler in Austin, Texas. He attended the public schools of Austin ISD, attending Lanier High School. 

In 2014, Chris grew up in life and wisdom, and moved to Providence, Rhode Island. Chris did some odds jobs before mastering the trade of landscaping. Chris enjoyed the sports of football and baseball, and was very passionate about the board game “Chess”.  He enjoyed listening to the oldies’ music from the 80’s and Motown including R&B. Chris enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

Chris departed this life at the age of 37, on Friday, August 4, 2023. He will join his father, Lonnie Butler, and his grandparents.

Chris leaves in God’s hands to celebrate and cherish his life and spirit his only child, Dellajade Swanson; mother, Anita Varble; sister, Kayla Varble; his niece and nephew, Kierra, and Nathaniel; and a host other relatives and friends.

 At times like this, family, friendship, and love are gifts from God. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

 Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 23rd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM.  Inurnment will be private
