Christine "Chris" Reyes-Paiz was born on November 17, 1961 in Elgin, Texas to Guadalupe and Molly Reyes. She was a life-long resident of Manor, TX. Chris was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Cathoic Church. She left her earthly body to be with her Savior on December 5, 2019 at the age of 58.
Chris had the opportunity to work with the Catholic Charities of Central Texas and loved what she did. She helped so many people who needed support in both spiritual and financial help through that organization. She was able to reach out to those who had suffered through natural disasters here in the central Texas area. Chris enjoyed traveling through her job where she made many friends and met so many wonderful people.
Chris was involved for over 10 years with the Diocese Catholic Youth Conference held in January in Waco, Texas. She will be dearly missed by those she worked with at this event. Chris was also a Religious Education Teacher for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where she served as a Confirmation Teacher. In addition, she volunteered with the South Texas AAU Track & Field.
There is no doubt that Chris was prepared for whenever the Lord called her home. She was the one person anyone could ask for a favor and her answer was always yes, no problem, I can do it for you. She was a lifesaver to her siblings because she took very good care of our parents before their passing. Her smile, her laughter, and her beautiful personality will be greatly missed by so many, but most especially, by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Molly Reyes. Who we know welcomed her home in Heaven with open arms.
Chris leaves behind her son Felix and daughter-in-law Jasmine and their children, Ashlyn Williams, Adrianne Williams, Wayne Williams III and Alicia Paiz. Along with her family she leaves behind her siblings, Rosemary Samaripa (Sam), Terri Arellano (Ben), Maria Cruz, Robert Reyes(Diane), Gilbert Reyes(Rhoda), Kathy Reyes, Patty Chavez(Ricardo Sr), Annette Fretwell (Thomas) and many nieces and nephews who loved her. She also leaves behind many wonderful friends, especially her best friend Lisa Sandifer whom she had the pleasure of sharing a trip to New York with.
