Cheryl Davis

Cheryl Ann Rist Davis, 58, of Manor Texas passed away Thursday evening, February 21, 2013. She was born June 10, 1954 to Clyde Rist and Bonnie Mae Beck in Columbus, OH. Cheryl graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1972, and went on to receive two AA degrees from Yuba College. She later attended the University of the Pacifics Conservatory of Music and earned a BA in Elementary Education from National Louis University. In 1990, she married the love of her life, and together they lived in Evanston, IL and Lafayette, CA before relocating to Manor, TX in 2006.Cheryls worked hard her whole life having three distinguished careers, as a Beautician in Yuba City, CA, then as a second career as an Employment Specialist for the LDS Social Services in Sacramento, CA, and finally teaching elementary and middle school in Waukegan, IL and in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cheryl was an active member of the LDS Church, the Elgin Garden Club and Crenshaws Ceramics Group. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Wayne J. Davis one daughter, Jennifer five grandchildren one sister and three brothers. Family requests Memorial Contributions to be made in Cheryls Memory to the American Heart Association.A funeral service will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1000 Rutherford Lane, Austin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27th. Interment will follow at a later date at the Indian Springs Cemetery in Penn Valley, CA.
