On July 8, 2018, Charles Shepard Wilson, Sr . heard the voice of the Lord and left this earthly tabernacle for his heavenly home. He was born to Ernest and Florida Wilson on February 20, 1941 in Giddings, Texas. Charles attended Booker T. Washington High School in Elgin, Texas.
Charles gave his Life to Christ and was Baptized at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, where he attended until his health failed.
Charles was united in holy matrimony to Bernice Thomas; to this union, two sons were born. He later married Julia Pellum, and to this union, one son was born.
Preceding him in his death were both parents, Ernest, Sr. and Florida Wilson; one son, Carlos Wilson; and one daughter, Mary Louise Williams; two brothers, Jim H. Wilson, Sr., and Ernest Wilson Jr., and three sisters, Louise Sanders, Florida Loving and Erma Wilson.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory, seven sons, Charles Andrew Moore, Sr., James Henry Moore and wife, Jenee of Bastrop, Charles Wayne Wilson, Magerald Sheppard Wilson of Killeen, Charles Shepard Wilson, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Omaha, NE, Clifton Howard Gibson, Jr. and Terry Lynn Gibson, Sr. and wife, Yolanda of Elgin; two daughters, Shirley Williams of Austin and Janella Moore of Bastrop; three sisters, Mattie B. Hooks of Los Angeles, CA, Lessie L. Jones, and Joyce Ann Wilson of San Antonio; one brother, Dr. Joshua Wilson, Sr. and wife, Kathy of Moreno Valley, CA; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
