Charles G. Reynoza, 92, of Round Rock passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Born July 03, 1924, an Elgin native, Charles had to leave high school in the 11th grade to help support his family of 12. At 19, Charles was drafted into the Army and served as a mortar man in European and Pacific campaigns during World War II. After serving our country for four years, he returned to Elgin and worked 18 years at the American Desk Company, before retiring in 1990.
Charles relished the company of his friends and enjoyed life being a Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents Crispin and Petra Reynoza, brothers, George, Jesse, John, Frank, and Mike; and his sisters: Minnie Lerma, Alice Trevino, and Esther Garcia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carolina Reynoza, sisters, Emma Torres, Elida Reynoza, Mary Helen Porras, and various nieces and nephews.
Charles’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Kindred At Home Hospice and Seton Williamson hospital for the love and care they gave to Charles.
The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Monday, March 6th from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a Vigil for recitation of the Holy Rosary at 2:00 PM. Graveside Services will be conducted at the Elgin Latin Cemetery at 3:00 PM the same day with Deacon Richard Botello officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow.
