Charles Edward Parker, Sr.

November 4, 1960 — March 7, 2025

Sommerville, Texas

It's with heavy hearts that we remember and celebrate the life of Charles Parker, who passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Charles was born on November 4, 1960, in Taylor, Texas, to Charles Henry Parker and Elizabeth (Fronek) Parker.

Growing up in the quaint towns of Lilac and Thrall, Texas, Charles embarked on numerous adventures that would shape the man he became. His commitment to his work was unparalleled; he dedicated his life to various trades, from digging water wells by hand to running a workover rig and honing his skills as a welder and mechanic. With an indomitable spirit, if Charles encountered a challenge he had yet to master, he dove into learning, teaching himself how to overcome obstacles with unwavering determination.

He found immense joy and fulfillment in carpentry, a craft that not only showcased his talent but also ignited his passion. Beyond his professional endeavors, Charles's greatest treasure was his family—his love for them was boundless, often expressed through playful teasing and joyful engagement. He was a beacon of support, always ready to lend a hand, and the values he imparted to his loved ones will forever echo in their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Parker; his mother, Elizabeth Veronica Lamb; his brother, Robert Meto Parker; and stepson, Lee Marshall Wolf.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ronna Parker; his stepmother, Billie Parker; his brother, Jimmy Parker and wife Adele; Dawayne Lamb and wife Jerri; Roger Lamb; and Royce Lamb. His cherished sisters, Cynthia and husband Neal Ferrell, and Judy Morgan, along with his son, Charles E. Parker Jr.; stepsons, Jimmy Kyleberg and wife Stacy, Nathan Kyleberg and wife Jennifer; daughters, April Parker, Cecilia Deere; and stepdaughter, Alisha and husband Nick Hinistroza; as well as 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, will continue to carry forth his spirit and legacy. Charles leaves behind a legacy etched in the lives of many, particularly his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will hold dear the memories shared with him. May we cherish his memory and the joy he brought to our lives.
