Carolyn Tingle, 90, of Taylor, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022. She was born in Waco, Texas, to Annie Davidson Bowen and William Daniel Bowen, Jr. on March 24, 1932. Carolyn graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana with the Class of ’49. After graduation, she went onto attend the Brackenridge School of Nursing in Austin and graduated in 1951. She latter attended Incarnate Word in San Antonio and the University of Texas, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing. She spent her nursing career in the Austin and Central Texas area. On May 19, 1952, she married the love of her life, Jack Winfred Tingle. Carolyn was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Taylor
Carolyn was preceded in death by both her parents, her two sisters, Lucy Bowen Smith and Anne Bowen Wyrick; and her son-in-law, Ronnie Edwin Krupa.
She is survived by her husband of over 71 years, Jack Winfred Tingle of Taylor; her daughter, Helen Tingle Krupa; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, April 29th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted at First Baptist Church of Taylor, Saturday, April 30th at 2:00 PM with Dr. Brady Collier, Pastor presiding. Interment will follow at Youngs Prairie Cemetery, Elgin.
