Byron Jones

Byron Lee Jones, 30, of Austin, TX passed away Saturday morning, May 11, 2013. He was the youngest born of Melissa Avara Jones and John L. Jones on October 16, 1982 in Baton Rouge, LA. Byron graduated from Walker High School in 2001 and began a five year apprenticeship with the Baton Rouge Area Pipefitters Local Union 198. He completed his apprenticeship on June 1, 2006.Byron was preceded by death by both his grandfathers, Clifford Avara and Dunk Jones and paternal grandmother, Myrtle Jones.Byron was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in San Marcos, Texas. He enjoyed reading his Bible, listening to music, and loved spending time with his family. Byron had the wonderful gift to make people laugh in any situationByron is survived by both his parents, Melissa and John L. Jones of Austin, TX his only brother, Brandon L. Jones and sisterinlaw, Alisia his loving nieces and nephew, Anna, Lilleah, and Colton Jones all of Denham Springs, LA his dearest maternal grandmother, Gertrude and her husband William Hutchinson of Livingston, LA numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. Byron loved his entire family and friends he will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and big heart. The family would like to offer a sincere gratitude to Cathy Pruitt of Gulf Port, MS and Myrna Moore of Gallatin, TN for rendering the music for Byrons service and to our family and friends for all your comfort and support given.The family will receive guests at the Seale Funeral Home of Denham Springs from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, May 17th. A funeral service will be conducted at the Seale Funeral Home of Denham Springs at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 18th with the Reverend, Windell Moore of Gallatin, TN officiating. Interment will follow at the Jones Family Cemetery, Denham Spring, LA.
