Billie Carter

Billie Jean Carter, 69, passed away peacefully Monday morning, March 5, 2012. Billie was the first born of four children to Wally quotBillquot Eugene Kauffman and Frankie Hays Kauffman in Liberty Hill, TX on November 22, 1942. On July 16, 1960, she married the love of her life, Edworth Carter, Jr. They spent the majority of their earlier years living and working in Austin, Texas, where they raised their one son, Richard. While in Austin, she also worked for the Independent School District as a cafeteria food service employee. After purchasing the land in Elgin in the 397039s, they eventually moved their family in 1980, to live next to the Colorado River, where she resided until her passing. Billie and her family enjoyed living next to the river, gardening and loved spending her free time with her two granddaughters and greatgrandson.
