Belinda Evans

Belinda Evans was born seven minutes early than her twin brother, Bruce, in Sayers, Texas to L. B. Evans and Amanda Evans.

Belinda joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized under the Pastoral care of Reverend E.R. Evans. She served as President and Vice President of the Choir, Mission Vice President and Church Treasurer until her health would not allow her to be present. She was also a member of the Elgin Community Choir.

Belinda attended and graduated from Bastrop Independent School District. She was employed at Elgin Roy Lee Groceries Store, Walnut Hills Nursing Home Austin, and the Internal Revenue Services.

Belinda’s siblings that preceded her in death are: Charles Jones, Ella Jones Gaines, Theo Jones, ( Jones parents were Charles Sr. and Amanda Lofton Jones ); Rev. L.B. Evans, Jr., Ernestine Evans Joiner, Willie Davis (Sweenie) and Bruce Evans.

Belinda leaves to cherish her memories: Sisters, Etta Faye Harrell and Arlene Johnson; and Sister in law, Ellie Jones.

Belinda has helped raise three (3) generations of nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart.

Belinda also leaves to cherish her memories numerous relatives, Christian sisters, brothers, friends, coworkers; Confidants and Caregivers: Bessie Mayfield, Vanessa (Nina) Jones-Porter, Cynthia Walker; her best friend Elsie Williams, and her special support teams which are the Williams Family, her friends, previous co-workers and her family.
