Asa Thornton

Asa Bee Thornton Junior, age 56, of Elgin, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2014.Asa was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He spent many of his weekends with his family outside while grilling, next to the bonfire and playing horseshoes. He dedicated his life to his family and loved to work. He had a passion for construction and being able to step back once a job was complete and take a look at the finished product. We will forever remember his sense of humor, wit, and ability to bring out the in everyone he came in contact with.Asa is survived by his loving wife, Doylene Thornton son, Asa Thornton III and wife Paulette three daughters, Stephanie Gatlin and husband Joshua, Theresa Washburn and husband Russell, Tonya Loper eight grandchildren, Tally and Corbin Gatlin, Jennifer, Basil, and Asa Thornton IV, Jacob Loper, Trevor Martinez and Breann Loper siblings, Willidean Green and Ron Thornton.Someone told me long ago Theres a calm before the storm I know its been comin for some time.
