Antonia “Toninha” Tereza Mustafa Blandin, 28, of Austin, formerly of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed into the arms of the Lord and joined her beloved grandmother, Antonia on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Toninha was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Maria Angela Mustafa and Wade Robert Blandin on February 10, 1994. She spent her early years in North Carolina, where she attended White Oak High School, graduating with Honors in 2012. She was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Miami for her excellence in academics. Growing up as a little girl, she loved her grandmother’s Brazilian cooking, listening to hard rock music, and spending time on her computer watching anime and playing games.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Antonia Volpe Mustafa; and her uncle, Oduvaldo A. Mustafa, Jr.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Maria Angela Mustafa and Luis Avalos of North Carolina; her father, Wade Robert Blandin of Plano; her brother, Joshua Nolan Blandin; her maternal grandfather, Oduvaldo A. Mustafa, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Don and Robbie Blandin and Diane and Andrew Jordan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Toninha was a strong, hardworking, and beautiful woman, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, July 21st from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin, Friday, July 22nd at 10:00 AM with Father Paul presiding. Christian Burial will be private.
