Alton Gene Forsythe, lovingly known to many as “Uncle Al,” departed from this life on January 24, 2025. Born on June 17, 1947, in LaGrange, Texas, he was the cherished son of Doris June Lueders Forsythe and Eugene Walton Forsythe. Al spent his formative years in Houston and graduated from Irving High School, setting the stage for a remarkable journey that would touch countless lives.

Al dedicated a significant part of his life to the airline industry, where his genuine warmth and hospitality made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His passion for travel allowed him to explore the world alongside friends, capturing beautiful memories and stunning photographs during his adventures. After a fulfilling career, Al returned to his roots and settled in the family home in Muldoon, Texas, where he dedicated time to caring for his beloved parents in their later years.

With a personality that was truly one of a kind, Al brought joy to those around him with his wit, outgoing spirit, and infectious laughter. He regaled friends with his countless tales and had an unparalleled ability to brighten any room he entered. His expansive circle of friends and colleagues will fondly remember his kind heart and laid-back nature. A devoted music lover, Al's extensive collection reflected his deep appreciation for all genres, and he found immense joy in sharing his favorites with others.

Al reunites now with his beloved parents, Doris and Eugene, while leaving behind his cherished sister, Molly Forsythe Stegall, her husband Hank, and their four children and families. He also leaves a legacy of fond memories and countless loved ones, who will forever smile when they reminisce about the wonderful moments shared with him. Al’s spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched, a reminder of the beautiful, vibrant life he lived.  Family and Friends will gather for a Memorial Service at a later date.
