Alicia Nicole Mills, 39, of Fort Worth, passed away Saturday, January 8th. Alicia was born in Austin, Texas, raised in Cedar Creek, and lived her adult life in Fort Worth. She loved Jesus and was baptized at Family Worship Center of Elgin, which was formerly the Coon Neck Community Church, on December 31, 1997, at age 15. She loved the Bible and she loved people. Alicia always had a smile and never met a stranger. It was always her goal to cheer people up if they were down and to ensure she gave a complement to everyone she met. She truly had a servant’s heart, giving her time and talent to everyone. She volunteered at her church and helped in the group home where she lived by cleaning, cooking, and caring for others there with physical disabilities. In her spare time, she loved to color and do crafts, she also loved to cook and watch cooking shows on TV.
She is survived by her daughter, Hailey Mills; her father, Stan Mills Jr. and wife Mary; her mother, Mary and husband Roger Osborne; her sister, Christina; and her beloved niece and nephew, Katie and Hunter; her grandmother, Mary Cryer; and numerous extended family and dear friends. Alicia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but she is happy and healthy and safe in the arms of Jesus now. Those of us who love Jesus will be with her again one day.
She will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home Thursday, January 20th from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be conducted graveside, at Greenwood Cemetery of Austin, Friday, January 21st at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stan Mills, Jr. presiding. Interment will follow.
